Captain Rosebud, aka "Bud" earns the honor of Commando of the Month
as best songwriter on Kahootz Klub Karaoke Night.
Before we hear from Bud himself, let's give a listen to his unique melody:
They zoom through the treetops all day long,

Captain Bud was interviewed for us by his brother, Quince,
so that we might get to know him a bit better:
QUINCE: What can you tell me about this place where we live?
BUD: This place is an awesome birdie resort and spa. We all have palaces full of toys and things to shred and toss. There is lots of good stuff to eat and mom cooks for us every day. There are all kinds of playgrounds and toys outside our palaces we can visit to!
QUINCE: And who are all these other creatures that I see and hear?
BUD: Katie - she's the loud bird you hear. She is a cockatoo and assists in transport for missions from time to time.
Ozbird - he is the big Grey bird who speaks hooman so well. He helps me to learn words like, "Love you, sweetheart", which makes mom melt and gets me anything I want!
Hamlet - she is the other loud one, the orange birdie. She is very pretty with bright colors, but is otherwise useless to us. She calls out the alarm squawk all the time and there is nothing to be alarmed about!
Foster - Foster is our smallest, most helpful neighbor. He is a little budgie who cannot fly. He is multi-lingual, speaking conure, tiel, 'too, parrotlet and many others I'm sure. He is a friend and a great asset to me. He is an honorary parrotlet in my book.
QUINCE: What about those giant furry things??
BUD: Oh, them. He he he.... They are Big Dogs! They are only around when we are safe in our castles. They are friendly and happy creatures, especially when we fling food out to them. They also guard our castles and our hoomans' castle.
QUINCE: How do you get to be a good Commando? I am new here and young.
BUD: There are many good young commandos here. Young age is an asset. We use our cuteness and sweet baby looks to get what we want. Ruling ober the hoomans in this house is where you begin. Once we rule here, nothing can stop us....Except for the much feared "Lockdown", but there are ways to get around that I'll show you. Out in the commando world there are many seasoned veterans who will help you learn the ropes. I have learned a lot from Quazar who took me in from the very beginning and flew me safely home after a lllooooonnngg and tedious stealth hover over my hatch parents house?? We must watch and listen and learn. All of the Commandos have specialties and much to teach if we pay attention.
QUINCE: What are your strengths and weaknesses?
BUD: Weakness??? Just one, Powder Pickle. I would do anything for her.
QUINCE Any closing words of wisdom?
BUD: Yes. Be sneaky, be smart, fling lots of food, shred and toss lots of toys, and above all....
